Question:
I am trying desperately to find an inexpensive $100 trunk mounted bike carrier for my 2009 Pontiac G5 Coupe. It has an awful spoiler... What do you suggest? Please advise.

Although the Thule Passage is a fit for the 2009 Pontiac G5, Thule does not recommend using the trunk mount racks on vehicles with spoilers. According to the manufacturer, the racks are not test fit on spoiler equipped vehicles, and a fit cannot be guaranteed.
Your best bet would be to go with a hitch and a hitch mounted bike rack. I would recommend the Draw-Tite Class I receiver hitch, part # 24745 and the Tow Ready 2 bike rack, part # 63120.
