To have a nice, easy number to work with we will use 9,000 pounds for the loaded trailer weight and we will approximate a 900 pound tongue weight. This being the case, the best fit for you would be Reese Round Bar Strait-Line with Sway Control, part # RP66088. It has a maximum trailer weight of 12,000 pounds and maximum tongue weight of 1,200 pounds. It is strong enough that it will allow for extra cargo in the trailer, but not so strong that it will cause a rough ride.

It also has the Reese Dual Cam Sway Control system which is one of the best designs available. It is a pro-active sway control system that works to prevent sway before it starts, and if the trailer sways it will correct it.
