Ground Clearance Needed for Mounting the 1,000 Pound Stabilizer Jack On an RV

Question:

What ground clearance do you need to lower the jack so as to set it up to start to levelling the RV?

asked by: Tom

Expert Reply:

The retracted height of the Stabilizer Jack - 1,000 lbs, item # TJ01RT, is 11-1/2 inches. You will need to mount the jack so that you will have at least this amount of clearance on level ground so that the jack can be used in most situations.

When the jack is folded, it measures 3-1/2 inches from the top of the mounting bracket down. See the included images for a closer look at the jack in both the retracted and folded positions.
