The Thule Vertex 2 Bike Carrier, # TH9028XT, offers some of the same great features as the #TH934XTR including the anti sway cradles, folding arms, and tilting mast.

The Thule Parkway, # TH958, is another good option. A bit more economical than the Vertex but still offers the tilting feature.

The Thule Hitching Post Pro, # TH934XTR, is loaded with features and such a great value that it would be my personal choice even if I was only planning to carrying 2 bikes. It is recommended that if you are planning on carrying less than 4 bikes that you load the bikes closest to the vehicle.

While traveling, the use of the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock, # THSTL2, and the Thule Cable Lock, # TH538XT, will give you added piece of mind to know that your bikes and rack are safe and secure.

If you will be carrying any women's, children's or alternative frame bikes, I recommend picking up the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, # TH982XT. Bikes with small or angled frames can be difficult to load on hanging style bike racks and they can cause ground clearance issues. This adapter will allow you to load the bikes easily and safely. I have also attached a demonstration video of this adapter bar for you.
