Will RackEm Ladder Rack Part RA-28 Clear My 5 Inch Tall Vent on My 5 Foot by 8 Foot Trailer

Question:

will this rack work with a 5 inch high roof vent on my 07 5x8 v-nose cargomate trailer? Thank you in advance

This all depends on the shape of the trailer roof. The ladder rack mounts to the gutters around the trailer, if the curvature of the roof is significant it may not clear. RackEm has built these racks to accommodate virtually all manufactured trailers from 4 to 8-1/2 feet wide.

The cross bar sits about 8 inches above the mounting points, so you will need to measure from the gutters up 8 inches and if that is enough to clear your vent, you should be good to go. Even if the vent is as tall or taller than the rack cross bars, you can keep the ladders strapped down so they will not hit the vent.
