Installation Instructions for Fifth Wheel Hitch Installation Brackets on a 2000 Ford F-250 Short Bed

Question:

I have a 2000 F250 short bed. Do you have a detail of where a 5th wheel hitch should be mounted

asked by: Rodney

Expert Reply:

The installation instructions for the installation brackets will indicate the appropriate position for the rails in the truck bed. If your F250 is a light duty truck the front rail is about 51-3/32 inches from the tailgate. If the F250 is a super duty truck the front rail is about 54-3/8 inches from the tailgate.

You can view installation instructions for each using the links below. Part # RP50042-58 is for F-150/250 light duty and part # RP50082-58 is for F-250 Heavy duty.
