Will the Highland Sportwing Bike Rack Carry a Tandem Bicycle

Will this or any of your bike racks carry a tandem bicycle?

You will need to measure the wheel base of your tandem bike. Measure from the highest point on one tire to the highest point on the other tire. With this measurement you should be able to determine if one of the following racks will work with your tandem bike.

The Highland SportWing 2 Bike Rack, item # 5801200, connects to the bike wheels and the arms can be adjusted up to 46 inches apart for installation of the bikes. This rack has a 100 pound maximum weight capacity.

The Swagman XTC2, item # S64670, has a maximum wheel base of 66 inches and accommodates wheel sizes up to 2-1/2 inches wide. The maximum weight capacity of this rack is 35 pounds per bike.

The Softride Versa Tilting and Folding 2 Bike Rack, item # SR26249, will accept bikes up to 80 inches overall width and with up to 29 inch diameter wheels. The maximum weight capacity of this rack is 50 pounds per bike.

These are the longest wheel base racks that we have at this time. You will need to be sure that your bike will not stick out past the sides of your vehicle also.
