Availability of a Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2010 Honda Pilot

Question:

I own a 2010 honda pilot. Under the drivers side rear bumper there is a wiring harness with what looks like a connection to plug in trailer wires. On the bumper next to the 2 trailer hitch is a plastic punch out on the bumper. Will one end of the part #118253 plug into the connection and the other end fit in the punch out on the bumper. My trailer has a flat four connection what else would I need besides part# 118253 to have everything I need to hook up my trailer. Thank you

The Honda Pilot Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring (7-Way) w/ Circuit Protected ModuLite HD Module, item # 118253, will plug into the vehicles factory connection under the rear bumper. The harness comes complete with a modulite taillight converter that needs to be installed in the vehicles rear cargo area storage compartment and fuses and relays that will need to be installed in the cargo area fuse panel and the under hood fuse panel.

The 7-Way connector will not install in the knockout in your rear bumper and will require a mounting bracket to secure it at the rear of the vehicle. You could use either the Mounting Bracket for 7-Way, item # 18138, along with the No-Drill Mount Bracket, item # 18140 (short), or, item # 18136 (long), or the 6 and 7-Way Trailer Connector Mounting Box, 2-1/2 inch, item # 18156.

Since your trailer has a 4-Way flat, you will also need an adapter like # PK12716.
