Rack Em Trailer Tailgate Assist, Part # RA-27C Install on Pipe Top Trailer

Are there special instructions for installing on a pipe top trailer? Any modifications to trailer needed?

The important consideration with the Rack em Double Trailer Tailgate Assist is the height at which it is mounted on the trailer relative to the height of the tailgate.
I have no specific instructions for mounting the unit on a rounded surface. You could possibly simply mount the unit to the top of the pipe that makes up the side rail by drilling the mounting holes downward through the pipe. Another option would be to mount a length of angle iron to the pipe, to create a flat mounting surface and mount the tailgate assist unit to the angle iron.
