What recommendations for a Reese slider 16000 in a 2004 Chevrolet 3500 dually

For your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 with dual wheels, I recommend a traditional non-sliding style of fifth wheel hitch, instead of a # RP30051 slider hitch. From my research it looks like your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 with dual wheels has a standard interior width, and an 8 foot bed. Typically sliding style of hitches are used for trucks with a shorter than 8 foot bed lengths. The sliding function allows for additional turning clearance between the truck cab and trailer, by shifting the hitch point further away from the cab. Please note that the sliding function is only to be used during slow speed maneuvering, and not at highway speeds.
I recommend using the Reese 5th Wheel hitch # RP30047, this is similar in weight capacity, and function to the hitch that you referenced. However, it is not a sliding style of hitch.
If you do not already have them you will need a base rail system installed in your truck. There are universal install kits, and custom fit install kits. Both of these kits install on the frame of your truck, and provide the correct mounting locations for the above the bed rails on your truck. I recommend using the custom fit style of brackets if available, for your truck it is # RP50064-58 since they use the existing holds on your truck frame and decrease the amount of drilling needed.
Please note that both of these hitches are rated for towing up to 16,000 pounds, please checked the loaded and ready to tow weight of your trailer, and the 5th wheel towing weight rating for your truck and make sure that you are not exceeding the lowest rated component in your towing system.
I have included links to the parts referenced above, product videos, and a helpful article about sliding 5th wheel hitches for your reference.
