Question:
I HAVE A 2002 F250 7.3 WITH A 4in LIFT LOOKING FOR CORRECT BALL MOUNT?
asked by: CHRIS S
Expert Reply:
Ball mounts are typically ed based on the trailer height and vehicle hitch height. With a 4 inch lift on your truck you will certainly need a ball mount with a significant to it. I imagine you will need a 6 or 8 inch like part # 40332 for 6 inches, or part # 4283 for 8 inch.To find out exactly which size you need to keep your trailer level, you will need to take measurements of your trailer height and hitch height. I have included a link to a Ball Mount Selection page that will show you what to measure and how to calculate what you will need to keep your trailer level. Please note, that some suspension lift kits will alter the truck towing capacities. Please check with the lift kit manufacturer before towing a trailer.
