Replacement Wiring Harness for a Prodigy Brake Controller on a 2010 Mercedes ML

Question:

I have a 90185 that was installed on a Lincoln Navigator, and now will be installed on a 2010 Mercedes ML. Is there an adapter that plugs into the existing ford plug? what part do I need?

There is not a brake controller wiring harness available for the Mercedes ML series vehicles. You will need the Replacement Plugin Harness for Tekonsha and Draw-Tite Brake Controllers, item # 7894, to hard wire your Prodigy brake controller. You could just remove the ford connector from the wiring on the brake controller. Be sure to remove the right end.

I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and his advice is that you should take the ML Class vehicle to the dealer to have the brake controller installed. The Mercedes vehicles have very sensitive wiring and splicing into the brake circuit or power on the vehicle can cause issues.
