Wiring a Brake Controller on a 2007 Chevy Silverado

If you have a 2007 Silverado with the old body style, you would use part # 3015-P for a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 or P-3 brake controller or a Draw-Tite Activator III. We have a page on how to install a brake controller on the classic body style that I will link to below. There is a black junction box underneath the dash to the left of the brake pedal. You will remove the cover, and the brake controller port is the 2nd port on the top row. The install page shows a picture.

If you have a 2007 Silverado with the new body style, there is no port underneath the dash. There is a bundle of 5 wires taped up together with the following colors red, dark blue, light blue, white and brown. You can find the bundle underneath the dash above the brake pedal. The wiring harness also has a white tag taped to it, which should make it easier to located. We have a chart for how to match these wires up to the wires on the brake controller.
