Im trying to get the dome light to work on my trailer, but I do not have 12 volts of power in my 7 pin harness...How do i get power to that trailer harness on a 2007 tahoe?? I found a red/black stripe wire by my fuse box with a terminal on it not connected to anthing...i hooked it up to 12 volts, and still had nothing in my trailer harness...what do i do to get 12 volts back there?? What am i missing??

There is a wiring connection at the power distribution box, as well as a fuse that needs to be checked and installed if missing. The power distribution box will have two auxiliary 12 volt studs on the front of it, attach the red and black wire that is bundled up under the master cylinder to the right hand stud. This circuit is protected by a 40 amp fuse that must be in place in order to activate the circuit.
