when installing a trailer hitch on a 1997 jeep cherokee what size are the metric bolts that go into the frame with the welded nuts?

You can order a replacement hardware kit by using part # RHK and putting in part number of the hitch on your vehicle and selecting the manufacturer of the hitch. This kit will give you all of the hardware for installation of the hitch on your vehicle and the hardware will have the proper rating for the hitch.

The bolts that go into the weld nuts on the frame of the 1997 Jeep Cherokee, are M12 X 1.75 X 40mm CL8.8 bolts. There are also a number of washers and spacers used in this installation.
