Is the Tekonsha Wire Replacement required for Tekonsha Prodigy Brake Controller on a 2009 GMC Sierra

You will only need the Tekonsha Prodigy Brake Controller, item # 90185, for your vehicle. The wires are terminated under the dash and will have to be connected to the wires on the brake controller. There is not a connector provided on the 2009 model.

The tow package wiring harness is located underneath the dash, below the steering column, a little bit off to the left side. It is stuck up behind some wires up underneath there so it is kind of hidden, but there is a little tag that comes with it to help you locate it. We have a video of the installation on a 2009 Silverado for you to review.
