Does a T-Connector Trailer Harness Need to be Plugged into Vehicle ECU

Question:

2010 EQUINOX DO YOU HAVE TO PUT IT IN THE COMPUTER. FOR THE WIRING PLUG

Curt T-Connector harness part # 56094 does not need to be plugged into the computer of the vehicle. T-Connector style harnesses plug into the tail light wiring connectors with an additional wire that will need to be grounded to the vehicle body or chassis. Sometimes there is another wire that will need to be run to the battery.
