Installation Process for T-One Harness with ModuLite part # 118482

Question:

is this connector really plug and tow. reading the instructions talks about having to route wires along the under carriage or through thresholds to get to the battery. I have a 2009 Venza a want to add a class 2 trailer hitch and the electrical for small trailer hauling.

Expert Reply:

The ModuLite box on T-One Harness part # 118482, requires one wire to be ran up to the battery for power. There are no easy-to-access or substantial power sources at the back of most vehicles, so one power wire will have to be run up to the battery.

Other than that, the harness is extremely simple to install. The brake, running light, turn and hazard signals are all picked up for snapping connectors in place between the tail lights and the vehicle. The ground wire, white wire with eye ring, can be attached to any good ground point nearby.

None of the steps of this kit require anything but simple hand tools, including wire cutters/strippers and a screwdriver or wrench.
