what is the difference between wc and wd on towing capacity?

The Titan Hitch Box Extension for 2-1/2 inch Trailer Hitches, item # RP45018, has two different ratings because if towed with a weight distribution system (see link) you will be able to tow higher capacities. If the extension is used as a weight carrying hitch, no weight distribution system, then the capacity is not as high. The weight distribution system distributes the weight from the hitch to the vehicle and trailers axles to allow for improved towing performance.
