Weight Rating of the RoadMaster Base Plate Adapter # RM-038 and a Duncan Towmatic 2 Tow Bar

would like to know the tow weight rating of this tow bar. I am unable to find this info. can you please help me.

The RoadMaster Base Plates to Tow Bar Adapter, item # RM-038, is tested for towing up to 10,000 pounds. The Adapter does not have a rating, like tow bars, because the tow bar is going to be the limiting factor when towing a vehicle. I spoke to my contact at the manufacturer and the gross weight rating of the Duncan Towmatic 2 Tow Bar, is 5,000 pounds.

This adapter will work with RoadMaster EZ and XL Base plate kits and will require a quick disconnect kit, item # RM-201, to remove the brackets from the vehicle. This adapter will not work with the MX or MS base plate kits by RoadMaster.
