Question:
Looking to find out if there should be a fatory fuse under the hood for my 99 f350 with the powerstroke. I installed a used controller that I know worked. I put it in my truck that I just bought. I have no power going to the controller it seems like.

The circuit that provides power to the brake controller is fused. The fuse can be found in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment. The owners manual should be able to tell you which particular fuse to check. You also might want to use a circuit tester such as part # 40376 and check the black wire that exits the rear of the controller to confirm that the controller is getting power.
