The Snap up brackets of the High Performance Trunnion Weight Distribution System, item # RP66022, will attach somewhere between 28 and 31 inches from the center of the trailer coupler ball. An exact measurement is not given because the snap up brackets should be positioned on the trailer frame so that the chain on the end of the spring bar is approximately vertical. There is a little room for adjustment but not much. If you find that the snap up brackets will not be able to be positioned over the trailer frame due to an obstruction you could use the Weight Distribution Chain Hanger Kit - Bolt On, item # RP58305, to get the spring bar chains into the correct position. With this kit you use the trailer jack to lift the vehicle rear end and trailer tongue at the same time and then attach the chain and lower the jack, instead of using the tip up brackets.

The High Performance Trunnion Weight Distribution System is also available with the Dual Cam Sway control. This system, item # RP66074, is the best sway control and weight distribution system currently available. The brackets for the sway control arms mount on the bottom of the trailer frame so there should not be a contact issue with the sway control.
