does the battery also power the inside lights inside the trailler

The Breakaway Kit Replacement 12 V Battery, item # HM20008, is designed to power the trailers brakes in a breakaway situation, and is not designed to power the auxillary lighting in your trailer. You will need to have a battery attached to the trailer frame for the trailer lighting and accessories.

Your trailer lighting can also be powered by the towing vehicles electrical system with the addition of a 7-way trailer connector and wiring. this connector will also charge the trailers battery if installed.
