If the camper is a Jayco, we offer an adapter which is part # 30104. If it is not a Jayco camper, you can construct one using just a few parts. Use part # 37995 along with the 4-pole trailer end connector, part # 18004. Plug the female portion of the 6 way connector into the trailer, cut the connector off of the other end and attach the green directional/brake light wire to the green wire on the 4 way, match up the yellow, brown, and white wires and connect them together, as well.

Connecting the remaining wires will depend on what they are used for. If the trailer has electric brakes, you will need a brake controller installed on your vehicle to operate them. As far as the brake controller is concerned, I would recommend a proportional-type controller, such as the Tekonsha Prodigy part # 90185. A proportional controller has an internal sensor that determines at what rate and at what intensity the vehicle is braking, and will send the proper amount of voltage to the trailer brakes so that the trailer and tow vehicle stop at the same rate. This type of controller offers the smoothest braking while saving wear and tear on the vehicle and trailer brakes. The blue lead on that 6 way coming from the trailer is typically used for the brake output coming from the brake controller. The other lead is typically used for a 12 Volt power supply for interior trailer lighting or other accessories. If this is the case with your trailer, run that wire to the positive battery terminal using an inline 40 amp circuit breaker part # 9510.
