The Largest difference when installing a fifth-wheel rail kit, in the 2000 Toyota Tundra, is that the bed corrugation is deeper and you will have to use spacers for the installation. You can use the Valley Fifth Wheel Hitch Installation Kit with Rails, item # V55150R, for both the 6-1/2 foot bed and the 8 foot bed Tundra. I would recommend the 16K Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider by Reese, item # RP30051, with the 6-1/2 foot bed and the 16K Fifth Wheel Hitch by Reese, item # RP30047, with the 8 foot bed.The towing capacity of your vehicle will not be increased by adding suspension enhacement or a transmission cooler. These items will prolong the life of your vehicles suspension and transmission and provide a increased stability and ride comfort. You will need to check with the vehicle manufacturer to find out the towing capacity of your pickup with a fifth-wheel hitch installed. You did not state whether the truck is two or four wheel drive so I cannot make a specific recommendation but we have two types of suspension enhancement available (see link). The first and easiest to install is the Timbren rubber enhancement springs. These are built specifically for the vehicles suspension and weight capacity to provide the right amount of support and cushioning no matter the load. The second is the Firestone air springs. The Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs installation is more involved but the support and ride is user adjustable for a quality ride and carrying heavy loads.Transmission coolers are a good idea even if you are not towing. Your transmission will run cooler, last longer and the fluid will not break down as quickly with a cooler installed. I would recommend the largest cooler that will fit in front of your radiator for towing applications. The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, item # D13504, would both make excellent choices for your vehicle.
