Question:
I have a 2001, Ford, F150 that I am using to pull a Sixteen Foot, dual axle, flatbed trailer. I am moving some furniture and other houshold goods for my uncle from South Dakota to Missouri, so I am in need of a brake controller. I have limited experience with towing a trailer long distances and have never used a brake controller before, so I am asking the experts

For your application, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy, item # 90185. It is one of our best selling brake controllers and I believe people like the visual style the controller has.Just remember that when towing you will need to adjust the controller to the varying load you are carrying on the trailer and road conditions. Your adjustment will be different when empty than it is when loaded and will be different again if you haul a heavier load. The part number for the 2001 Ford F-150 and F-250 is # 90185-3035P.
