I am trying to install the above back up
camera to my 2008 Chev Silerverado.
What color is the back up light wire and the color of the ground?

The wire which carries the signal for the back up lights is typically light green, although the color can vary. The best way to access this circuit would be to remove one of the taillight assemblies and use a circuit tester such as part # 40376 to verify that you have the correct circuit.
You can ground directly to the vehicle chassis, or look for a factory grounding point and use it.
