Base Plate Kit for Towing a 2000 Tahoe and Brakemaster Installation Instructions

With the Sterling Towbar you can use any of the Roadmaster vehicle-specific base plates - EZ, XL and Standard. Your 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe is one of the more difficult vehicles to match base plates to and there is a chart and instructions for measuring that I will email to you separately so that you can make a decision on which kits will work. Usually the 1/2 Ton 4x4 Tahoe will have internal frame mounted tow hooks and you will use chart 2 and the # 199-1 Base Plate Kit. You cannot use the MX Brackets, item # 199-3, with the Sterling Towbar, item # RM-575. If your tow hooks are mounted internally, on the frame, you will need to use chart one and measure. Once you have it narrowed down to the correct application for your vehicle I will be glad to make a recommendation for you from among the base plate kits that will work on your vehicle.

Instructions for the Brakemaster system, item # 9100 or 9160, universal application works with almost any RV and can fit nearly any car, although a seat adapter may be required for installation in certain vehicles. Because BrakeMaster connects directly to your RV hydraulic brakes, or air over hydraulic brakes, installation is quite involved and requires an advanced mechanical background.
