Do Trailer Brake Magnets Have Wire Polarity

Question:

wires got broken at brake drum, are they polarity sensitive or does it matter

asked by: joe g

Expert Reply:

The wires from the # BP01-110 brake magnets have no polarity. Simply attach one to the wire carrying the brake output voltage, and ground the other wire to the trailer frame.

You may also need some electrical tape, part # BT66, and dielectric grease, part # 11755 helps to keep your wire connections free of moisture.

I am including links to some installation videos on electric brake installation that should be helpful for you.
