Your site mentions trimming the rear of the 09 Hyundai to install the hitch.
How much trimming is needed and will it devalue the vehicle the car at trade in time as I would be removing the hitch then. Is there any other hitch method for light loads I could use?

According to the instructions and the information I have gathered from one of our contacts at Draw-Tite, the only portion of the fascia that would need to be trimmed is the center tab used to hold the fascia to the underside of the vehicle. Take a look at Figure 2 in the install instructions, you will see the tab that needs to be cut off.
As this tab is located on the underside of the fascia, it will not be visible and should not affect the resale value negatively.
Using a receiver hitch on your vehicle would be the only method available for towing a trailer.
