I see some sites recommend a self resetting 30 amp breaker. Do you?
Is it placed on what wire?

Tekonsha recommends using the 30 amp breaker, part # 38630 with the Prodigy. If your Envoy does not have the tow package with the factory installed 7-way connector on the rear of the vehicle, you would install the breaker near the battery on the power wire run from the battery to power the brake controller.
