As long as your 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a roof rack and rails, the Thule Sidekick box should fit just fine.
If your Grand Cherokee only has the rails that run the length of the roof and not the crossbars, you will need crossbars. The crossbar kit for your car is part # TH45050.
