Will My Defrosting Mirrors Affect or Prevent the Use of Hot Spot 2 Inch Convex Mirrors

Question:

My car has a feature to defog/defrost the side rear mirros. If I put a Hot Spots mirror on the car mirror, will it effect the defrosting/defogging setup in my car?

Expert Reply:

You should not have any problems using these Hot Spot Mirrors, part # 49104, with your mirrors with the defrost feature. The surface of the mirrors with defrost systems do not get hot enough to cause a problem with the adhesive on the Hot Spot mirrors. However, the defrost feature in your factory mirror will most likely not prevent fog or ice on the Hot Spot Mirrors.
