Compatibility of 12023A-D Two Battery Isolator, with 1976 Monaco Motorhome

Question:

I have had a new 12023A isolator for some time and have lost install instructions. Can I install it on a 1976 monaco mtrhm with a 360 Chrysler motor? Also what would I connect to the E post?

Your 1976 Monaco with a Chrysler engine should have a Group 1 style alternator. Check your vehicles wiring and alternator to be sure. Your Alternator will also need to have maximum output of 95 amps or less to use the, Two Battery Universal Isolator - 120 Amp, item # 12023A-D. With Group 1 alternators the E post in not used. The A post will go to the alternator output and the number 1 post will go to the vehicle main battery positive post and the number 2 post will go to the auxiliary battery through a circuit breaker (see chart in instructions for proper size) to the positive battery post.
