SportRack 2 Bike Hitch Mounted Wheel Mount Rack with Class I Hitch

Question:

I was interested in using this bike rack with your draw tite hitchClass I Sport Frame Receiver Hitch for a 2003 Honda cicic 2dr. The specification for the bike rack says it can fit a receiver of 1.25x1.25 or 2x2 but CLASS TWO ONLY. Is there a distinction between class one and two in the 1.25 opening?

Yes, there is a difference between Class I and Class II hitch openings. The hitch pin hole is set at different depths to prevent using larger racks and carriers on a Class I where weight capacities could be exceeded. So the Sportrack A30901 cannot be used with a Class I hitch.

If you bought Draw-Tite part # 24706 for your 2003 Honda Civic, we have several bike racks that would fit. The closest match to rack you were looking at is Swagman XTC-2 part # S64670 or Thule TH990. I have included a link to all the bike racks that will fit a Class I hitch.

Depending on which hitch you choose, you may also need a pin to attach the rack to the hitch. The basic pin is part # PC2 or a locking pin like part # 7682.

Please note, the racks I recommended include anti-rattle devices and their own pin and would require special locks.
