Does the C16412 work on an 09 Chev extended cab short box truck?

Yes, this part # C16412 will fit on your 2009 Chevy short box truck, if it is a 1500. If it is a 2500/3500 you would need part # C16418. I have included a link to the instructions that shows how to install C16412 on both a short box and a long box.You would also need a set of rails. Either part # C16204 or # C16104.
