You are on the right track. A weight distribution system will transfer the load to your vehicle and trailer axles and level out the load.

The weight distribution system you will need will depend on the tongue weight of your trailer fully loaded and ready to travel. Two of our best weight distribution systems are the Reese High Performance Trunnion System, item # RP66020 and RP66021 which have tongue weight ratings of 600 and 800 pounds respectively. When selecting a weight distribution system a higher weight rating than your tongue weight will cause a stiff ride and will not provide added benefit so you will want to know your tongue weight and select a system with a range that your tongue weight falls into.

With these weight distribution systems you can also add the Dual Cam Sway Control, item # RP26002, to help control sway when in high winds or when large trucks are passing.

Along with these weight distribution systems you will need a weight distribution shank, item # RP54970, and a properly sized hitch ball, item # 19286 or # A-90.
