Question:
The instructions direct that the controller not be installed near a CB, how far away from the CB does the controller have to be so it doesn’t interfere with the brake controller? I will be installing the controller in a 2004 tundra double cab and RV, I already have the CB installed in both by the driver’s right knee.

Expert Reply:
Most people mount a brake controller by the drivers right knee or higher. You will need your brake controller mounted within your reach and 12 to 18 inches away from the CB radio, so I suggest mounting it on the left side of your steering column. If your vehicle came with a tow package, I would also suggest the Valley Brake Control Adapter for Toyota and Lexus, part # V30502, to reduce brake controller installation time.
