The 3015-P adapter will not work with the 2009 Escalade.

If your Escalade has a factory 7 way towing package, there will be a bundle of 4 wires taped underneath your dash: red, dark blue, light blue, and white. The part you actually need is # 7894. There is no plug underneath the dash on newer GM/Chevy/Cadillac vehicles. You will wire the Tekonsha connector to the wires underneath the dash.

It includes a wire matching that tells you what vehicle wire goes to what Tekonsha connector wire. The second link is a video demo on the same 2008 Sierra.

You may also consider a circuit tester, like part # 3808, to make sure your connections are functioning.
