Wiring Harness Part # 118412 for 2009 Toyota RAV4 with LED Tail and Stop Lamps

Question:

Hi, I ordered a hitch and wire harness from your company with Order# 846389 for my new 2009 RAV4. This RAV4 has LED Tail and Stop Lamps. Someone told me that I cannot use the wire harness Part# 118412 in this RAV4 because of the LED lamps. Could you please help me to clarify this? Another thing, according to the instruction came with the wire harness, I need to remove the Threshold Plate the plastic trim across from driver side of trim to passenger side of trim. I do not see any screw holes along this plate. How do I remove this Threshold Plate to route and hide the wire from the driver side to the passenger side? Please help.

I have checked and confirmed that the T-1 Connector, part # 118412 is indeed the correct wiring harness for your 2009 Toyota Rav4. The easiest way to remove that threshold Plate is to use a Trim Panel Remover, available from any auto parts store. Once you have the tool, start at one end of the threshold plate, and GENTLY pry the plate up. Work your way across, prying the plate up every few inches.
