Using Fifth Wheel to Goosneck Cushioned Trailer Adapter, Part # CAB-C5G, to Move Trailer

Question:

I have purchased an older 5th wheel 32 ft trailer from a friend on his deer lease.I need to go pick it up. however, I dont have a 5thwheel hookup. I have a dually pick up with a goose neck hitch. the trailer is older 1983 made by komfort and its 32 long. I dont have any specs on the size or anything about the trailer. I noticed the goose neck to 5thwheel adaptors you are showing. Im not certain how they work or if they will. That seems to me the easiest way instead of putting on a 5thwheel on the truck. once the trailer is back home I certain it will not be moved more than one more time to my lake house, so I only need to move it twice.

Expert Reply:

The Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Cushioned Trailer Adapter, part # CAB-C5G would be perfect for your needs. The king pin of the fifth wheel trailer would lock into the upper portion of the adapter, the bottom of the adapter would install over your existing goosenck ball and lock into place. The adapter is available in 12, 14, or 16 inch heights.
