i have a brake controller wiyh 4 wires.black red blue white.the connector i got from ford has 5 wiresblack red blue white green.how do i connect?

Your Factory Harness would wire to the brake controller as follows: the red wire on the brake controller connects to the green harness wire, the blue controller wire would connect to the blue harness wire, the white wire on the controller attaches to the white brake controller wire, the black controller wire connects with the red harness wire. The black (or brown) wire on the factory harness is for an illumination circuit, and is not used. Use a circuit tester to verify that this wire only goes hot when the headlights are switched on.
