Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2002 Ford Windstar

I would like to install tracks in the grooves on the roof of my Ford Windstar. Can you help with advice and parts.

To install tracks in the grooves on the roof of your Windstar you will have to have a custom installation done. I checked with my contacts at Thule and Yakima and they do not offer a custom fit track for your vehicle at this time.

Yakima has a system, if your 2002 Windstar has the dual sliding doors, that will provide crossbars for carrying cargo or bikes on the top of the vehicle. To install this system you will need 3 parts.

Round 58" CrossBars for Yakima Roof Rack System (QTY 2) item # Y00409
Q28 Q Clips for Yakima Q Towers (QTY 2) item # Y00628 Two Sets

With these items you will be set up with cross bars on your van and will need to get carriers for the items you would like to haul on the roof of your vehicle.

If you have a single sliding door then the only option is custom installed tracks at a local dealer.
