Do I Need to Remove Handle Nut on a 2006 Dodge Stratus 4 Door

Question:

The video instructions for my hitch installation seems to indicate that the handle nut permanatly hangs out of the access hole after installation. Just want to make sure this is the proper way to use the handle nut. 2006 Dodge Stratus 4 Dr Draw Tite hitch number36301

After installing your hitch part # 36301 on your 2006 Dodge Stratus, it is fine to leave the handle nut hanging outside of the hitch. It will not bother anything. It is flexible so it can be bent if it is interfering with anything on your vehicle (such as wiring).
