Will the Dual Cam High Performance Sway Control Work With Other Brands of Weight Distribution Hitch

I have a weight distributing hitch by Robin INdustries. the torsion bars have square ends with a u-bolt to attach the chain, which goes up to the snap-lock trailer attachment. Is there any way to add a cam-lock type sway control to this type of bar, or are they only available for hitches that are made to take them?

To use the Dual Cam High Performance Sway Control, item # 26002, your spring bars need to have the curved ends for the cams to self-center on.

The best option for you is to purchase a new weight distribution head and spring bars for your shank and hook-up brackets. With the new brand of spring bars and head you may need to move your hook-up brackets slightly for proper function. When choosing spring bars you will need to select bars that have proper capacities for your trailers tongue weight.
