Question:
I currently have a hinge on my trailer which is welded on. The holes have become elongated over time and allows the trailer to sag at the hinge point. In order to use this new part, I will have to cut the current hinges off leaving a little portion of the 3 x 3 frame tube to into the new hinge. Question: how deep is this hinge / how much of the 3 x 3 frame tube must I have to slide into the new hinge? I have plenty of room to play with on the coupler side, but not much on the boat side before I hit the winch assembly.

I went out to our warehouse and measured this. The hinge is 4 inches deep at the longest angle. At the shortest, it is 3-1/4 inches long.
