Question:

I tow a Casita Travel Trailer that weighs approximately 3,000 lbs. and has a tongue weight of approximately 400 lbs. My tow vehicle is a Chevrolet Colorado pickup with a tow rating of 5,500 lbs. I normally carry 150-200 lbs. of tools, etc. in the bed of the truck. My question is this: Would you recommend that I include the weight being carried in the truck bed when I calculate my trailer tongue weight i.e., would the tongue weight here be 400 lbs. or 550 lbs.? I am considering buying either your item #66152 or #66154. What would you recommend for my situation?
