Question:
I have a 2008 Sequoia with a 2 hitch receiver, but my ~2001 model 4-bike rack has a 1 1/4 male. It seems one of your products #80301 would work, but can you clarify how the Class I vs II, etc. work ? so I make sure this is the right fit ?

Yes, this will work for you. This adapter, part # 80301, will convert a 2-inch hitch to a 1-1/4 inch hitch opening. That said, one concern is that it will cut your hitch tongue weight in half. So if your 2008 Sequoia has a 600 lb tongue weight (tongue weight is usually 10 percent of your hitch capacity), then with the adapter, your tongue weight will be reduced to 300 lbs. This is still plenty to use with your bike rack, just keep in mind that the 300 lbs includes the weight of the bikes and the bike rack.Trailer Hitches are typically given a class rating to define their weight capacity and receiver opening size. Classes range from class I to class V. A Class I hitch usually has a 2,000-lb capacity. A Class II usually has a 3,500-lb capacity.
