As I looked through this website I saw no sliding hitches and mountiong kits specifically suited to the 2008 Dodge 2500 HD 4WD pickups

Yes, we have a Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider for the 2008 Dodge 2500 Pickup. Since you are asking about a slider I assume you have the 6 foot bed and have provided a link below to our page with those hitches on it.

If you have a truck with a bed shorter than 6 feet you will need a standard fifth wheel hitch and a Sidewinder to be able to pull a fifth wheel trailer and maneuver without having contact issues between the cab and the trailer loft. I have also provided a link to our sidewinder page for you to check out so you can determine if you will need this option.
