Brake Controller Installation 2013 Chevy Silverado

The location and function of the tow package wiring has not changed from the 2012 to the 2013 model Silverado.

The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 would install exactly as shown in the video you referred to (see link).

The controller will directly wire into the tow package wiring, but the wire color will not match up exactly.

The red/black striped tow package wire connects to the black brake controller wire.
The lighter blue and white striped tow package wire connects to the red brake controller wire.
The dark blue tow package wire connects to the blue controller wire.
The white tow pkg wire connects to the white controller wire.

If the tow package has an orange wire, tape off the end of it and bundle it up out of the way. This wire is for an un needed illumination circuit.
